Gratitude for Plants

There’s so much to be grateful for in our lives- most of which are the things that are simple and easy to overlook: food, clean water, a roof over our heads, a job, family, community. But I’m also always thinking about plants – I mean, plants give us our lives every day through our food, every moment through our breath, during times of sickness with medicine.

So how are you grateful for plants? What plant are you grateful for today?

Prebiotic Herbs and Gut Restoration

With all the overuse of antibiotics and leaky gut syndrome, we all tend to focus on probiotics and fermented foods to restore the bacterial ecology of the GI- but what about prebiotics? These are important polysaccharide compounds are the food for the microflora in our intestines, helping them to continue to thrive and flourish.
